The Best Croatian Beaches

Croatia has become a very popular destination for beach goers.  Beaches with crystal clear waters and silky fine sands ooze romantic appeal, while the sheer number of islands and bays in this country mean that many beaches are not overrun, and remain quiet places where one can find tranquillity.  Not many countries can boast that they have a beach to suit every type of beach goer, but Croatia certainly can.

It would be impossible to cover every beautiful beach the country has to offer.  Not all are easily accessible (though the more adventurous traveller should certainly seek them out!) and there are so many to choose from.  But the beaches below should give you a very nice picture of what your next beach getaway could look like.

If you are after a romantic picture perfect sort of beach then Lovrečina Bay on Brač Island would be your pick.  The cove is situated on the northern part of the island, it is sandy with clear gin water in view, set against a hilly backdrop with olive groves and ancient ruins of the 5^th and 6^th century.
