Why You Must Travel To Seychelles Once in Your Lifetime

The Seychelles, the beautifully breathtaking islands located in the Western Indian Ocean and northeast of Madagascar, are a popular destination for hundreds of tourists and visitors every year. What many people don’t realize is that the islands form part of two specific groups: The tall and shallow inner granitic islands, and the low-lying outer coral and reef islands.

The Seychelles are known for their exquisite natural beauty, incomparable to any other. This place is a honeymooners paradise for a reason. From tropical beaches, to dense forestry, and the world’s biggest coral reef, these islands are known for the maintenance of all forms of species that cannot be found anywhere else on Earth, including the world’s smallest frog, and the rare jellyfish tree. Many species of seabirds, also unfound anywhere else on Earth, are also common on the Seychelles, like the Magpie Robin, the Seychelles Scops Owl, Seychelles White Eye, Paradise Flycatcher Seychelles Warble, Black Parrot, and the flightless White-throated Rail. All in all the Seychelles are ideal for conservationists and admirers of nature alike, a small but dazzlingly brilliant window into something so precious and rare in its uniqueness that almost disappeared with the past if it not for these spectacular Islands.

However, if you’re more of a beach person, not to worry, because the Seychelles have over 40 of the world’s most stunning beaches to boast about, where you can sunbathe, swim, dive, and snorkel to your heart’s content. As the Seychelles lie south of the Equator, the climate is usually warm and tropical, and although humid at times, consistently between 24 and 32 degrees Celsius – perfect for a tan and a sunny getaway! So don’t forget your sunscreen, towel, and sunglasses when you travel to one of these breathtaking tropical white beaches.

Like the nature, the local Creole cuisine is also rare and diverse in its contents, which prides itself with an attractive fusion of French, Indian, and Oriental influences, which incorporate a varied array of seafood, spices, and exotic fruits, although if you’re not a fan, hotels and restaurants will always have an international menu to choose from.

In regards to more practical issues, no vaccinations are required to enter the Seychelles, a bonus for those afraid of needles! And no malaria or other mosquito-borne diseases exist in this area, so there is nothing to worry about. The three main languages spoken in the Seychelles are Creole, a French based dialect, English, and French. The currency used in the Seychelles is the SCR, or the Seychelles Rupee, which can be divided into 100 cents. The banks, like in most places, are generally open from Monday to Saturday, and ATMs can be found at these or at the airport when you land.
