Itinerary
Day 1
Welcome to Thailand
If arriving between 7am and 7pm one of our team will be at the airport to meet you and transfer you to our starting location in a very popular and fun area of Bangkok city. We will stay at the very comfortable and stylish LUK Hostel located in the historic old town area of Bangkok. Today will be arrival but for those guests that have arrived in time, there will be an informal get-together in the evening.

Day 2
Exploring the best of Bangkok
Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel, followed by a more detailed orientation session. Later, we shall set out for a walking tour of the bustling Bangkok. We’ll show you some of the city’s wonderful locations and sit with the locals as we enjoy a traditional street food lunch! In the evening we’ll head out to see the bright lights of this very popular area of the city and enjoy a delicious dinner.

Day 3
Travelling to Chiang Mai
Today we depart Bangkok in the morning and head north to the charming city of Chiang Mai. Our journey will be by train giving you incredible views of how the country changes from a bustling metropolis to the mountainous hills that border Myanmar and Laos. On arrival in Chiang Mai it’s a quick transfer to the Hetai Boutique Hotel.

Day 4
Exploring the Elephant Sanctuary in Chiang Mai
Today is definitely gonna be a memorable day for you! After breakfast, we depart the hotel and head to one of Thailand’s leading ethical elephant sanctuaries located outside the city. Once we reach the location we’ll check in to our accommodation before meeting the team and, most importantly, the elephants!
We’ll join in various activities during our time here including spending time with the elephants and the mahouts. We’ll also join in projects such as creating elephant enrichment, getting our hands dirty with cleaning up the camp, learn all about elephant care and welfare, and lots more. You’ll be accompanied throughout your time here by our guides and the mahouts so you’ll be kept busy and happy, guaranteed!
You'll be staying within the sanctuary premises, it’s basic but comfortable, and what better way to start the day than sipping your coffee as you watch the elephants in the jungle!

Day 5
Another day at the Sanctuary
After finishing any project work that we have left and clearing up the grounds, we’ll enjoy lunch before bidding a wonderful farewell to the team and the adorable elephants. We’ll head back to the hotel in the city where you have a free evening to relax and shop if you feel like it.

Day 6
Traveling To Siem Reap, Cambodia
This morning we transfer to the airport and on to our flight to Siem Reap, via Bangkok. Once we arrive in Bangkok, your Thailand guide will check you in to your flight to Cambodia and then depart. You will be greeted on arrival in Cambodia by your new local guide. We swap guides so that you get the most authentic experience during your time.
Once you’re checked in to your new hotel at the very pleasant Blossoming Romduol hotel in the heart of Siem Reap city. Once checked in we’ll head out to explore and your guide will treat you to a wonderful and authentic Khmer dinner.

Day 7
Exploring the ruins of Angkor
We’re up and out before the crack of dawn so that we can experience the breathtaking sunrise at the truly unforgettable Angkor Wat. It may be an early start but trust us, it’s more than worth it! We’ll take a tour of the lands around the temples and enjoy lunch before we head back to the hotel where you can freshen up and relax around the pool. In the evening, you can step out to explore the night market by yourself.

Free Day
This has been such a whirlwind tour that today we’re giving you a day to yourself to do as much or as little as you please. Your guide will be around to help you with any plans that you have and give you ideas of any activities that you may want to join.

Day 9
Time to make a difference
Today's gonna be a tad bit different. After breakfast, we’ll head out to a great social enterprise and learn the traditional leather art, taught by kids who want to train in this skill. After lunch at an NGO school, we’ll head to the fascinating Kampong Phluk Eco-tourism village to learn how the Khmer people are embracing modern advances in tourism to positively benefit their communities. We’ll take a trip on the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia to visit housing communities on stilts and see how these people live day to day on the lake itself.

Day 10
Soaking in the local cultural vibes
Top up your energy levels with a hearty breakfast this morning as around 8 am we’ll cycle from the town on our very special countryside experience. Along the way, we’ll drop into a local’s market, learn about the farming and lifestyles, visit a beautiful Lotus farm, but mostly you’ll learn how the local people really live from day to day. It’s a fascinating cultural experience and one that you’ll really enjoy.
Once we’re back at the hotel you’ll have the afternoon to recover with a refreshing dip in the pool. Then in the evening we’ll get together and head back into town for a group meal in the town. You can also pick up some souvenirs for friends and family back home.

Day 11
Time to bid 'Goodbye'
Like all good things, your trip also ends today! Take your time to bid goodbye to all your fellow travelers while we enjoy one last group breakfast. There’ll be time to swap contact details, for final group photos, for hugs and hi5’s! If you need help with any onward travel your guide will be more than happy to help.

Siem Reap, Cambodia - Blossoming Romduol Hotel
