For those who are already in Peru (or planning a Peru trip soon) and wondering how to experience the best while exploring the Inca Trail - this 6 days tour would be the perfect choice for you! Fasten your belts as we are all set to take you for an amazing joyride across the Andean Highlands and show you the ruins of the Inca Civilization that still stands here with all its glory! Meet the natives, dive deeper into their lives and savor the authentic Peruvian cuisine while wandering with us in Peru! Make the most of your gap year and you can also opt to learn their language by spending a little more time.

Day 1 - Arrival in Cusco

Once you arrive in this beautiful historical city, you'll get to meet all your fellow travelers with whom you'll be making memories in the next few days. There will be a Welcome Meeting where your coordinator will brief you about the itinerary of the upcoming activities.  You can opt for the city tour and visit Qenqo, Koricancha, the Cathedral, Puca Pucara, Tambomachay, and the archaeological site of Sacsayhuaman. If you need some adrenaline rush, then go for white water rafting on the Upper Vilcanota River.

Day 2 - Cusco to Ollantaytambo

It's time to enjoy a full-day guided tour of the Sacred Valley. Know about the stories from the past, and rediscover this region in the most beautiful manner. To experience the lives of the natives, we shall take you to a local women's weaving co-op before visiting a local pottery-making community. The best place to buy souvenirs - pick up some handmade items and textiles directly from the women who made them! Stop for lunch at the Parwa Community Restaurant and enjoy the delicious buffet.

Day 3 - 5 Exploring the Inca Trail

So, the fantastic journey towards the Inca Trail begins on the 4th day, once you depart from Ollantaytambo. In these three days, you'll be mostly hiking and trekking along the ancient trails, with a variety of flora that usually changes with the seasons, passing several smaller ruin sites like Llactapata. You'll be crossing beautiful villages and enjoy scenic mountain views on the first day. On the second day, you'll have to start early to climb the long steep path to Warmiwañusca, better known as Dead Woman’s Pass. This is the highest point of the trek at 4,198m (13,769 ft). On the third day, you'll be crossing Runquraway at 3,950m (13,113 ft), and then reach the second pass at 3,700m (12,136 ft). It'll be the perfect dose of adventure that you've been looking for.

Day 6 - Machu Picchu to Cusco

Your day will start around 3:30AM, so that you can catch the views of the breathtaking ruins of Machu Picchu during sunrise. Enjoy the guided tour of this unique region and later, visit the Inca Bridge, if time allows. You'll catch the bus to Aguas Calientes for lunch. Board the train back to Cusco in the afternoon. You can go for a pub crawl in Cusco with your fellow travelers if they are not tired after the hike and journey!

Day 7 - Cusco

It's your last day of the tour. In case you've missed seeing anything in Cusco, then today, you'll have enough time to tick all that's there on your checklist. Visit the local market and pick up some souvenirs for your friends and family. As your adventure tour in Peru comes to an end, it's time to head back home or to another destination. You can book your flights from Cusco, and in case you need airport drop, you can get in touch with the coordinator.
