In Cambodia, Visit the ancient temples of Siem Reap and Angkor Wat showcases the great culture of the region. Day 1

Arrival at Siem Reap

Upon arrival at Siem Reap airport, our representative would meet you and take you to your booked hotel. Siem Reap is a tiny colonial town, appealing and enjoyable enough to roam around, with some fine patterns of French colonial architecture. Upon arrival, proceed to visit TA PROHM – the holy temple surround by jungle. Its web of stone halls and lobbies is dense with the roots and branches of the massive Banyan trees which envelope the stones limbs. Later in the afternoon, visit ROLUOS GROUP TEMPLES. The temple are Located 12 km southeast of Siem Reap, the first major capital of the Angkorian era Khmer Empire. The three monuments in the RULUOS GROUP present a look at the earliest classification of Khmer civilization. These temples, BAKONG, LOLEI AND PREAH KO, were built in the 9th century under Indravarman I. In the night, enjoy your dinner with KHMER TRADITIONAL DANCE SHOW. (L/D)
Day 2

Siem Reap

After breakfast, visit the SOUTH GATE OF ANGKOR THOM. The fortified city of Angkor Thom (Great Angkor or Great City), was built by Angkor’s greatest king, Jayavarman VII (1181 – 1219). Sat at the heart of Angkor Thom, the giant faces of BAYON have become the most recognizable images connected to classic Khmer art and architecture. Later, visit the TERRACE OF THE ELEPHANT, TERRACE OF THE LEPER KING, the PHIMEANAKAS AND BAPHOUN.  In the afternoon, visit the WORLD HERITAGE SITE – ANGKOR WAT. This is the largest temple in the world with a volume of stones leveling with the Cheops Pyramid in Egypt. The temple was built by King Suryarvarman II from 1113 – 1150 AD when the Khmer civilization was at the peak of its growth. It represents humankind's most amazing and persistent architectural succeses. Angkor Wat, surrounded by a channel with an peripheral wall with peculiarly extracted Apsara carvings that decorate the wall throughout the temple. The exterior walls of the lower level the most amazing bas-reliefs, portraying stories and characters from Hindu mythology and the wars of Suryarvarman II. In the evening, proceed to watch sunset at PHNOM BAKHENG. (B/L/D)
Day 3

Siem Reap – Kulen Mountain Excursion

Enjoy the breakfast in the morning. After breakfast, proceed for a full day tour with a drive of 60 km through the Khmer countryside to the holy KULEN MOUNTAIN range. The mountain range supplied the stones used to build the Angkor temples. With beautiful backdrops to the way up, our vehicle will bring us to the top of the mountain. Here see the site of the 1000 Lingas carved in the riverbed by consecutive kings of the Angkor period. Walk further to the site of a huge natural rock with on top with a big reclining Buddha carved in the rock. Later reach to a waterfall (don’t forget to carry swimsuits). More carvings in the riverbed can be seen above the waterfall. After enjoying a delicious picnic lunch, along the way going back to Siem Reap, visit the temple of BANTEAY SREI. Back to the town and enjoy the dinner at the hotel. (B/L/D)
Day 4

Siem Reap – Phnom Penh

After a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a morning sightseeing tour to TONLE SAP (The largest fresh water lake in Southeast Asia). In the lake, enjoy the boat cruise tour, and explore the life of the people living on the floating villages. Enjoy shopping at local TOURIST MARKET-PSAR CHAS (Old market). After lunch, transfer by coach to PHNOM PENH (approx. 5 hours) - the capital of Cambodia. En route, enjoy the beautiful scenery of the country side. You might also see people selling FRIED SPIDER and Insects at the halfway stop known for local people as SKON area. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Enjoy the dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.  (B/L/D)

Day 5

Phnom Penh

After the breakfast at the hotel, explore the Capital city. Start this tour with a visit to the GENOCIDE MUSEUM. It is a former high school which was used as the infamous SECURITY PRISON 21 (S-21) by the Khmer Rouge regime from its escalation to power in 1975 to its collapse in 1979. Later proceed to the KILLING FIELDS. The Killing Fields were a number of sites in Cambodia where large numbers of people were killed and buried by the Khmer Rouge regime. At least 200,000 people were executed by the Khmer Rouge. Study of 309 mass grave sites by the DC-Cam Mapping Program and Yale University shows at least 1,386,734 victims. At the Killing Fields, you can see the actual location of where the execution took place. Have your lunch before visiting the ROYAL PALACE, AND THE SILVER PAGODA. Day 6

Departure from Phnom Penh – Flight to Hanoi

After having the breakfast, Visit the INDEPENDENCE MONUMENT, WAT PHNOM- the symbol of the capital city. Rest of time is free shopping at TOURIST MARKET– CENTRAL MARKET for local products or souvenirs. After lunch, transfer to airport for your onward flight to Hanoi.  

Upon arrival at Hanoi international airport, our representative would welcome you and transfer you to the hotel for overnight stay. (B/L/D)
Day 7

Hanoi- Halong

After breakfast you will be transferred to Halong. Halong is the world heritage site with thousands of limestone islands. En route see the rural life of the Red river delta farmers or the ceramic town at Dong Trieu.

Upon arrival at Halong Bay, check in at your boat. Lunch would be served on board. Rest of the time is to relax. Sit back on the sun deck and enjoy spectacular views of the bay with number of different shaped rocky islands. You can visit the island grottoes or you can enjoy swimming. Enjoy your dinner on board. Overnight stay on the boat. (B/L/D)
Day 8

Boat trip at Halong / Overnight train journey to Lao Cai

After breakfast, enjoy the boat trip at the Bay. Reach the wharf by 11 am and then transfer back to Hanoi. A quick lunch would be served at Hong Ngoc in Sao Do town. Upon arrival at Hanoi at around 4 pm, our guide would take your around places like Sword Lake, Ngoc Son Temple. Also enjoy the water puppet show. Dinner would be served at a local restaurant in Hanoi. Board the train to Lao Cai in the night (guide assistant provided). Overnight journey in the train. (B/L/D)
Day 9

Lao Cai-Bac Ha-Coc Ly-Cao Son

Upon arrival at Lao Cai and after taking refreshments and tea, we would transfer you to Bac Ha. This 2 hour drive takes you along the winding roads. Upon arrival at Bac Ha, a local support team would meet you. Start 2 hours trek to Coc ly, a beautiful village located on the banks of Chay River. Enjoy your lunch and continue hiking to Cao Son. Overnight stay at a nice eco lodge. (B/L/D)
Day 10

Cao Son-Lung Khau Nhin-Thao Chu Phin

Lung Khau Nhin is a tiny village of H’mong people located 12 km from Cao Son. Here every Tuesday, a local market is held. This bustling market is full of vendors selling vegetables, fruits. Lot of interesting activities like dancing, local shows etc. take place in the market area. After lunch, continue descending trek along with small tracks, terrace rice fields and small houses with bamboo fences. After reaching at river bank, enjoy views of the sunset. Board the bamboo raft to reach to the other bank of the river. Overnight stay at a nice home stay. (B/L/D)
Day 11

Thao Chu Phin-Xin Cheng-Quan Than San

Enjoy this day in Si Ma Cai, one of the remote district of Lao Cai, bordering with China. Along with Bac Ha region, this entire terrain is known as White Highland. Trek though areas of various H’mong tribes such as Green H’mong, White H’mong. This would be an unforgettable experience for you to explore the treasures of hidden Vietnam. This night, stay would be at Quan Than San. (B/L/D)
Day 12

Quan Than San-Ta Van Chu-Ban Pho-Bac Ha

After breakfast, continue this expedition through untouched ares of Northern Vietnam. On the way back to Bac Ha town, stop at Ban Pho village to see how local whisky is produced. This night stay would be at Bac Ha. (B/L/D)
Day 13

Bac Ha-Ban Lien

After breakfast, start 2 hour trek to along the paved road and later on a small track to reach at Ban Lien. See plum and peach forests and beautiful scenic views around. Overnight stay at Ban Lien, village of Tay people. (B/L/D)
Day 14

Ban Lien-Nam Det

Today’s trekking route would be along the Phong River. This trek is a mix of up-down rugged terrain, wet soil and temporary bridges. This would be a really exciting and adventurous experience. Also see Dzao women in sophisticated dresses and multi-layer turbans.  Overnight stay would be at a nice home stay in Nam Det. (B/L/D)
Day 15

Nam Det-Bac Ha-Overnight train journey to Hanoi

After breakfast, return to Bac Ha after 3 hour’s short descending. On the wa, you may get a chance to meet Phu La Hill Tribe. Have lunch at Bac Ha and relax. Transfer to Lao Cai railway station for overnight train to Hanoi. (B/L/D)
Day 16

Departure from Hanoi

Arrive at Hanoi at 5 am. Transfer to Hanoi airport as per your onward connection.
