About The Package

India and Nepal are few of the most visited countries in Asia region which receives thousand of tourists every year. Go Discover Abroad provides the opportunity to experience both the cultures as we provide a program where you will volunteer and travel in India and then in Nepal. 

We will provide you program placement in childcare program where you will spend time with the children. Volunteers role depends on their comfort level. You can work directly with the children and help them with the meals, homework, playing with them.

In India, Volunteers will work under street children program at different shelter homes and provide love, education to these abondoned children. Volunteers will work Monday to Friday 5 days a week for 5 - 6 hours a day. Volunteers can teach good habits to the children and take them out on picnics to zoo or theme parks which will make them feel loved and needed.

In Nepal, Volunteers will work with orphans and provide them much needed love and affection which they lack otherwise in their daily life. Volunteers are welcome to bring toys, stationary and clothes for these children. Volunteers can also teach them and help them with their homework, cooking meals, feeding them and teaching them importance of personal hygiene.

Day 1

Arrival in Delhi

Upon arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi you will be greeted by our representative who would take you to the accommodaiton. On this day, you can relax or take a walk around your accommodation. 
Day 2

Orientation about program

After breakfast you would be given orientation about your program placement. Our representative will accompany you to the placement vanue and will introduce you the placement staff where you will start your program. Volunteers usually work 5 - 6 hours in a day.
Day 3 - 6

Volunteer Work

You will travel to your placement with other volunteers and spend time with the children. You can play with them, help them in studies and also take them out for picnic which would be very beneficial for their growth and survival. You will have full support of the local staff at the placement and they will be there to help you whenever needed. You can bring stationeries, toys or books for these children. You will experience the happiness on the face of these children. 
Day 7

Travel to Agra - Visit Taj Mahal

Enjoy your breakfast. Later proceed to Agra at around 9.30 am. Upon arrival at Agra, check in at the hotel.

Located on the banks of river Yamuna, Agra is a world famous town for world famous Taj Mahal. Agra was capital of the Mughal empire for many years.

At around 2 pm, visit Taj Mahal. Taj Mahal is one of the seven wonders of the world, a world heritage site. Taj Mahal was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Taj Mahal’s construction started in 1630 and it was completed in 1653. After entering Taj, have a walk inside the complex with beautiful landscapes. Click the memories of the Taj in the camera!!

At around 5 pm, visit local markets in Agra. Agra is famous for leather items and Petha (sweets). Back to the hotel and overnight stay at Agra.
Day 8

Agra / Agra-Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri

After early breakfast, at around 9 am, visit Agra Fort. Emperor Akbar reconstructed this fort which was in ruined conditions. It is a world heritage site and it is famous for the architecture, landscapes, palaces and artwork.

Later proceed to Fatehpur Sikri. Sikri was founded by Emperor Akbar in 1659 and it was the capital of the Mughal Empire for a short time. Visit the famous Buland Darwaza (Grand Gate), the amazing piece of architecture.

After Sikri, proceed to Jaipur. Upon arrival at Jaipur, check in at the hotel.

Jaipur is popularly known as Pink city of India, because of the use of pink/red bricks and colour while constructing houses, palaces and monuments. Relax at your hotel or you can have a stroll nearby. Overnight stay at Jaipur.
Day 9

Sightseeing in Jaipur

After breakfast, at around 10 am, start the city tour of Jaipur.

Visit City Palace, museum, Hawa Mahal (Palace of winds – photo stop), Jantar Mantar (observatory), Jal Mahal (photo stop). Later proceed to Amber fort. From the fort, you can have panoramic views of Jaipur city. Enjoy an elephant ride at Amber fort.

From Amber fort, visit Sanganer which is famous for handmade paper and handicraft items. You can also visit local markets in Jaipur.

At around 7 pm, proceed to Chokhi Dhani. This is a traiditional village resort near Jaipur. In the resort, enjoy folk dances, puppet shows, live entertainment followed by traditional Rajasthani dinner. Back to your hotel and overnight stay at Jaipur. 
Day 10

Departure from Jaipur to Delhi

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and then leave for Delhi. You can relax in Delhi once reached as there is no scheduled program.
Day 11

Delhi Sightseeing

Delhi has got history of thousands of years. It is believed to be site of Indraprastha, the capital of Pandavas in the Indian epic Mahabharata. For more than thousands years, many dynasties ruled Delhi in their own style. In the British regime, Delhi got its graceful buildings and ancient monuments brought more glory to it. No doubt, it is one of the elegant capitals in the world!!

In Delhi sightseeing tour, visit Red Fort, Chandani Chowk, Raj Ghat, Akshardham temple (from outside in case of shortage of time), Qutab Minar, Humayun’s tomb, Lotus temple (from outside in case of shortage of time). Later have a photo stop at India Gate. See beautiful President’s Palace (from outside) and Parliament House (from outside). Roam around in Connought Circus where you can try some delicious cuisines.

Overnight stay at Delhi.
Day 12

Departure from Delhi - Arrival in Kathmandu

Transfer to Indira Gandhi International Airport as per your flight schedule and you will be picked from Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu and will be directly taken to your accommodation where you can relax for the day.
Day 13

Orientation about program

After breakfast at your accommodation you would be given orientation about your Kathmandu program placement. Our representative will accompany you to the placement vanue and will introduce you the placement staff where you will start your program.
Day 14 - 17

Volunteer Work in Kathmandu

You will work at your respective placement (Orphanage or Teaching) for up to 5 – 6 hours a day. You are free to travel across the Kathmandu city by yourself after work hours. Volunteers will spend time with the children and provide them with the opportunity to learn new things which would be beneficial for their future.
Day 18 - 19

Weekend in Pokhara

On Saturday we will drive you to Pokhara which is around 6 hours from Kathmandu city. Pokhara is the starting point for trekking and rafting which is famous among people from all over the world. You will find dense forests, rivers and lakes all in Pokhara along with an amazing view of the Himalayas. On Sunday morning, we will take you to Sarangkot for breathtaking sunrise view and then will drive you back to Kathmandu city.
Day 20 - 21

Kathmandu - Bhaktapur City Tour

These 2 days are organized for Kathmandu city tour along with Patan city tour and Bhaktapur tour which are situation close to capital city Kathmandu. We will cover Kasthamandap, Swayambhunath, Temple of Living Goddess, Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhanath Stupa in Kathmandu. The next day you will visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Dattatreya Square, The Peacock Window, Hanumanghat, Mahaboudha Temple, Rudravarna Mahavihar Temple and Kumbheshwar Temple.
Day 22

Departure from Kathmandu

Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport as per your flight schedule.

Cancellation policy:-
25% cancellation charges if cancelled 60 days before the program start date.
50% cancellation charges if cancelled 30 days before th program start date.
No refund if cancelled within 30 days of program start date.
