Arrival at Paro
The flight into Paro on national carrier of Bhutan, Druk Air, is an appropriate introduction to the spectacular beauty of the Kingdom. Superb views of the peaks and lush green valleys can be seen everywhere as your flight lands. Cool and fresh air would be a welcome gift offered to you as you arrive. Our representative would meet yu and transfer you to your booked hotel.
In the afternoon, visit the Ta Dzong, an ancient watch tower, which now houses the National Museum. The museum displays antique textiles, weapons, household objects and rich collection of natural and historic objects. Later visit the Rinpung Dzong, built in 17th century to defend the valley against invaders from Tibet. It is now used as an administration centre and school for monks. In the evening, walk through the shopping area of the city. Dinner and overnight at hotel. (D)

Paro – hike to Taktsang
After breakfast, our vehicle would take you through the zigzagging road to the Drukgyal Dzong, the ruined fort, which was once protected the valley from Tibetan invasions. Mount Jhomolhari, the sacred peak, reaches upward beyond the dzong. Stop at Satsam Chorten to hike up to the Taktsang monastery (Tiger’s nest). This horse ride up to the cafeteria will take around one and half hour. From the viewpoint enjoy the spectacular view of the monastery, where Guru Padmasambhava landed on the back of a tigress in the 8th century. After lunch at the café walk back to the road the car will pick you up and take you to back to Paro. On the way back visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Bhutan built in 7th century. Paro – Jeledzong (start of trek)
After early breakfast, our representative would take you by vehicle up to TaDzong or the National Muesum.
Start of Trek Day 1: Distance 08 Km and walking time approximately 4-5 hours. Start the trek at Ta Dzong, (2300 m) and camp at Jele Dzong (3436 m, 11,270 ft). The trek trail is a steady climb till the camp. You can see the Paro valley along with Mt. Jumolhari (7314 m) and mountains behind the valley. (B/L/D)

Jele Dzong – Tshokam
Trek Day 2: Distance 09 Km and walking time approximately 4-5 hrs. Start from Jele Dzong (3436 m) and camp at Tshokam (3962 m; 12,995 ft). You trek through through thick alpine forest and rhododendrons trees and most of the walking is up and down on a ridge. You may see Yak herders around. (B/L/D)

Tshokam – Jimilangtso
Trek Day 3: Distance 10 Km and walking time approximately 6-7 hrs. Start the trek at Jangchulakha (3780 m) and camp at Jimilangtsho(3880 m). The campsite is close to lake of Jimilangtso which is known for their giant sized trout. (B/L/D)

Jimilangtso – Simkota
Trek Day 4: Distance 11 Km and walking time approximately 4-5 hrs. Start from Jimilangtsho (3880 m) and camp at Simkota (4040 m). You pass by the lake of Janye Tsho. Campsite is close to Simkota Lake. (B/L/D)

Simkota – Phajoding
Trek Day 5: Distance 10 Km and walking time approximately 3-4 hrs. Start at Simkota (4040 m) and camp at Phajoding (3870 m). Begin with a gradual climb up to Phume la (4210 m) which is the highest point of this trek. You will have beautiful views of Mt. Gangkhar Punsum(7541 m), the highest mountain in Bhutan and other Himalayan peaks. (B/L/D)

Phajoding – Thimphu
Trek Day 6: Distance 4-5 Km and walking time approximately 3 hrs. Start at Phajoding (3870 m) and end of trek at Thimphu (2300 m). The trek to Thimphu is all the way downl through a Pine forest. At a leisurely pace you can reach Thimphu in about 3 hours. Evening time would be at leisure. Overnight at hotel. (B/L/D)

Thimphu valley sightseeing - Paro
In the morning visit the National Memorial Chorten, built in honor of the late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk. Also visit National Institute of Traditional Medicine; the Art & Craft School, where children learn the ancient art of Buddhist painting. Later visit the Folk Heritage Museum, dedicated to connect people to the Bhutanese rural past through exhibitions and artifacts. Lunch would be served at a local restaurant in Thimphu. After lunch proceed to Paro. Dinner and overnight at hotel. (B/L/D)

Departure from Paro
After an early breakfast, our Bhutanese representative will tender you a farewell at Paro airport.
